 We only need to see documentation that proves your current employment to check that you are eligible.  When you upload your documentation, we recommend that you redact all information other than your name, employer and date.
🧾 Currently employed in MoD Police?
To apply, upload a document that matches the name on your Blue Light Card account.

A payslip showing:
Your full name
Your MoD Police affiliation
A date within the last 3 months
⚠️ Why documents may be declined:
The name on the payslip doesn’t match your Blue Light Card account
The payslip is older than 3 months
An MoD door pass was uploaded (this isn’t accepted)
We couldn’t confirm MoD Police affiliation from the document
🎖️ Retired MoD Police staff?
You’re eligible too! To apply, just upload:

📝 Proof of at least 4 years’ relevant employment
 We only need to see documentation that proves your retired status/former employment to check that you are eligible.  When you upload your documentation, we recommend that you redact all information other than your name, pension provider, and if you need to provide supporting evidence of former employment you redact all information other than your name, employer and date.
What can I use as proof of employment?
You can upload:
Two documents dated at least 4 years apart (e.g. P60s or payslips)
An employment or leaver letter showing your start and end dates
A professional registration record with your work history or cease date
