We only need to see documentation that proves your current employment to check that you are eligible. Â When you upload your documentation, we recommend that you redact all information other than your name, employer and date.
If that doesn’t work, no problem - you can upload one of the following documents, as long as it matches the name on your Blue Light Card account:

1. Work ID card showing:
Your name
Your RNLI affiliation
2. Payslip that includes:
Your name
Your RNLI affiliation
AÂ date within the last 3 months
3. RNLI Headed Letter that:
Confirms your current role
Is signed by your Station Commander
Is dated within the last 3 months

📝 Include proof of at least 4 years’ relevant employment
 We only need to see documentation that proves your retired status/former employment to check that you are eligible.  When you upload your documentation, we recommend that you redact all information other than your name, pension provider, and if you need to provide supporting evidence of former employment you redact all information other than your name, employer and date.
âś… What can I use as proof of employment?
You can upload:

📨 An employment or leaver letter showing your start and end dates
