Who’s eligible?

✅ Employed

You’re eligible if you work in a Care Home, in any role - whether you're delivering care or keeping things running behind the scenes.

 We only need to see documentation that proves your current employment to check that you are eligible.  When you upload your documentation, we recommend that you redact all information other than your name, employer and date.

✅ Volunteer

Volunteers in Care Homes are welcome too, no matter your role. Your time and care make a real difference.

🏡 Retired Care Home Staff

You're eligible for a Blue Light Card! To apply, just upload:

📄 A pension document from any provider
📝 Proof of at least 4 years’ relevant employment

 We only need to see documentation that proves your retired status/former employment to check that you are eligible.  When you upload your documentation, we recommend that you redact all information other than your name, pension provider, and if you need to provide supporting evidence of former employment you redact all information other than your name, employer and date.

✅ What can I use as proof of employment?

You can upload:

1. Two documents dated at least 4 years apart (like P60s or payslips)

2. An employment or leaver letter showing your start and end dates

3. A professional registration record with your work history or cease date
