The quickest way to confirm your eligibility is by verifying your police service work email address during your application.
If that doesn’t work, you can upload one of the accepted documents listed below. Make sure it matches the name on your Blue Light Card account.
We only need to see documentation that proves your current employment to check that you are eligible. Sign Up Here!
⚠️ You should redact sensitive details such as your warrant card number
✅ Accepted proof of eligibility
Payslip that includes:
Your full name
Clear police service affiliation
A date within the last 3 months
Metropolitan Police & Gloucester Constabulary members: Your payslip may not display your name. If this is the case, you'll need to download the full payslip document (usually via your force's HR portal on a laptop or computer) - your name and employer should appear on the complete version. If you're still unable to show your name, a P60 can be used as an alternative.

Please upload a headed letter from your Police Constabulary. It must:
Be signed by your Sergeant
Show the same name as your Blue Light Card account

Show your name
Confirm your role as a BT999 Call Handler
💙 Volunteers within the Police
Volunteers in the Police Service are eligible too, whatever your role. Every contribution counts.
