🎖️ MoD Civil Servants – Who’s eligible?

If you're employed now as a MoD Civil Servant, you're eligible for a Blue Light Card ✅
And if you're retired from a MoD Civil Service role, you're eligible too – just follow a slightly different process 🧾

👥 Who qualifies?

✅ Eligible:

• MoD Civil Servants (see full list below)

• MoD Police

• MoD Fire

• Retired MoD Civil Servants (see what you’ll need to upload below)

❌ Not eligible:

• Volunteers within MoD Civil Service – these roles aren’t currently included in the scheme

🛡️ Retired MoD Civil Servants – How to apply

You’ll need to upload:

📄 A pension document from any provider
📝 Proof of at least 4 years’ relevant employment

Don't have these? Not to worry, you can also use:

• Two documents dated at least 4 years apart (like P60s or payslips)

• An employment or leaver letter showing your start and end dates

• A professional registration record with your work history or cease date

💡 Not sure if what you have is quite right? That’s okay. These are just examples we’re happy to look at anything that helps show how long you’ve been in service 🙂
